Hi BREA Members!
I have been an active BREA member since I was hired at Hillside in 2002! I became an AR shortly after, then a co-CAR with Mark Heinbach. My newest role as the Membership Chair began about five years ago. Being an active member of the BREA has allowed me to continually help other members and meet new people across our district. Attending numerous workshops each year through the NJEA allows me to continually gather more knowledge in order to serve BREA members even better.
I grew up in Bridgewater, where my parents still reside, and when I graduated college, it was a dream of mine to teach in my hometown. Although I now live in Hillsborough, I am always in Bridgewater for various events and my kids’ activities, including BSA soccer and Bridgewater Rec programs. Charlotte is nine and Leo is seven, and they keep me busy, out on the soccer fields or basketball courts quite often!
This is my twenty-first year teaching Special Education at Hillside School. I have taught 4th, 5th, and currently 6th grade with numerous placements, subjects, and co-teachers. I am so grateful that after all these years, I can still proudly say that I teach here, have made life-long friends here, and gained experiences that have benefited me in countless ways!
